Frequently Asked Questions

  • Occupational feeding therapists provide essential services in the comprehensive management of feeding, eating, and swallowing problems. Occupational therapy practitioners have the education, knowledge, and skills necessary for the evaluation of and intervention with feeding, eating, and swallowing problems.

  • This is an option for new clients needing consultative screening and for continuous clients who need to be seen but not able to be seen in home setting. This allows the clinician and family to stay in close contact regarding progress and performance in between in-person visits. Education and strategies will be provided to maintain progress.

  • We will meet for an hour to an hour and a half for the initial visit. During that time, we will develop a plan to help me achieve your goals and overcome any challenges you and your child are experiencing. Follow up sessions will be 1 clinical hour in length. Every child is unique in their own abilities. We will work closely together in discussing a plan of care. Parent involvement is expected and is highly important.

  • Unfortunately we do not. You will pay for the service at the time of your appointment via our client portal. We do provide superbill (a receipt stating services provided) for you to submit to your insurance company and/or FSA/HSA account. Once submitted you will receive a check directly from the insurance company if approved.

  • We accept payment via cash, check, or Venmo. We do not accept FSA/HSA. We can supply you with a superbill to submit to FSA/HSA.
